Free Chick-fil-A Today

Free Chick-fil-A Today

There’s a Chick-fil-A lovers out there and I’m sure everyone just loves free stuff. Today you can do both, free and Chick-fil-A. One of those Chick-fil-A lovers, PDX Deals Guy, is the one who alerted me to this new deal.

Cow Appreciation Day

Chick-fil-A is celebrating Cow Appreciation Day today, July 9th. That’s the 15th year in a row, giving away free entrees to those who choose to participate. If you want to score some free chicken, show up to one of the 2,400-plus participating locations wearing a cow costume or any sort of cow apparel. The promotion runs from the time stores open on 7/9, until 7PM that same day.

You don’t have to get crazy with a cow costume, unless you really want to. A cow-themed accessory will be deemed sufficient to receive free food.

Chick-fil-A is giving away free breakfast options, including the chicken biscuit, the four-count of Chick-n-Minis, and the hash brown scramble bowl. Most lunch entrées, except salads, are available as part of the giveaway — including chicken sandwiches, chicken nuggets, and Chick-n-Strips.

For children, Kid’s Meals featuring Chick-n-Strips and nuggets (both traditional and grilled) are also available.

How to Cow

Cow Appreciation Day is the one day of the year when it’s okay to dress udderly crazy in exchange for free food. Here’s how it works:

  1. Make or buy your cow costume (or any sort of cow apparel, really).
  2. Wear your cow costume to your favorite Chick-fil-A between Opening and 7 p.m.
  3. Receive a free entree! (Note: Free entrées for Cow Appreciation Day cannot be redeemed with the Chick-fil-A App.)

  1. Quite a shame that you can’t participate in Cow Appreciation Day at the San Antonio Aiport. Seems the city council had a cow and prevented Chick-fil-A from operating there. I guess that is why SAT got on my no-fly list. Seems San Antonio hates on freedom of religion, which is funny considering James Madison Rose died at the Alamo fighting for Texas Liberty (James was the nephew of President Madison “Father of the Constitution” and no other founding father was more passionate than Madison for securing religious freedom). What is the San Antonio city council going to do next – kick out the ashes of the Alamo fallen from the San Fernando Cathedral because the Catholic church does not favor abortion? Too bad San Antonio closed the clown museum (Hertzberg Circus Museum) as the city still seems to have plenty of clowns in public office.

  2. Note that they changed (a couple years ago) to being very lax on what constitutes cow attire. Usually just scribbling black cow dots on a piece of white paper, and then pinning it to your shirt, is good enough. While lines can obviously be long for a giveaway like this, at least it is an all-day promo (not just a few hours when offers like this get slammed). I’ve had decent luck not having horrible lines in past years, if I go at non-peak meal times.
