Get that Big 100K Bonus for Capital One Venture X

As you probably know by now, the Capital One Venture X 100,000 points bonus ended a couple of days ago. The new offer is actually not bad either, as it has a much lower spending requirement. You can now earn 75,000 points (worth $750 or more), after you spend $4,000 within the first three months.

You can read our full review here, see how it stacks up with other premium credit cards, and get some ideas on how to use the points from the signup bonus.

But if you’re hoping to get that bigger 100,000 points bonus with the $10,000 spend requirement, there’s some hope. There are two old links that are showing that offer, although it’s possible that the $200 vacation rental credit is not included.

You can see the 100K offer here. I would suggest you take screenshots of the offer throughout the application, just in case issues arise later on.

Maximizing the new Venture X card

Conclusion

This is a great bonus and the card comes with perks and credits that get you even more value. Additional users are free and also get some sweet perks, such as lounge access.

But keep in mind that you can apply through referrals, if you have friends or family members who have this card. They would earn a 20,000 points bonus and you would get 75,000 points. That’s a total of 95,000 points, with only $4,000 in spend.

  1. I have some big spend coming up. Did not get the 100,000 offer. Should I get the 75,000 and then refer husband? Also thinking about Amex gold or business platinum. Already have regular Amex platinum. Wow! So much to keep track of.

  2. I did the 100,000 offer but waited in Hubby applying but Got him the 75,000 w/ $4,000 spend Plus my 25,000 referral so total of 100,000 with only $4,000 spend

It’s is 150,000 bonus MR points for a new Plat Business with the ugly spend requirement of $15,000 in 3 month I’ll buy a couple plane tickets and pay taxes ahead with the small service fee – all part of the cost of doing business in this hobby. 🙂

  3. Honestly not sure which offer I’d take if I had both to choose from. We did the 100K offer for my wife and have already used the vacation rental credit. The 100K offer has a LOT of spend required (but ample time to do it). Only works out to 10X extra per dollar. Whereas 75K after 4K spend is 18.75X extra per dollar. I don’t think either one is bad, but taking the 75K bonus leaves more spending bandwidth for other SUBs.
