Marriott & La Quinta Promotions

Marriott & La Quinta have launched their summer promotions.  Just as we have seen with other chains such as SPG, Hyatt & IHG, these promotions aren’t going to blow your socks off.  Lets take a look.

Marriott has launched a new promotion called the Getaway Bonus.  Each person’s offer is different so you have to log in to your account and go to the “Your Promotions” section to see it. My promotion is double points after my first stay up to a total of 25,000 points.

I don’t think I will be participating in this one.  To be safe though, I would recommend registering.  The promotion covers stays from June 1, 2014 to August 31, 2014 and you must register by July 31.

La Quinta

Exclusive Destinations For You

La Quinta is offering triple points at their new locations and double points at a selection of other locations from May 12, 2014 to June 5, 2014.  If you have a planned stay at a La Quinta it may be worth checking out the list to see if your property is on it.  Otherwise, there isn’t much to see here.

Conclusion

Summer is a busy travel season which means that we simply don’t see the lucrative promotions that often show up during slower periods. In the hotel space we have seen similar lackluster offers from SPG, Hyatt & IHG.

Hopefully the fall season will bring back some of the better promotions. In the mean time, take advantage of them if they fall in line with your summer travel plans!
