GiftCardMall Visa Promo
GiftCardMall is offering $3 off their normal $5.95 purchase price on Visa gift cards.
The Offer
Here’s $3 off Visa Gift Cards with promo code SWEET17.
Key Terms
- Promo code SWEET17Â is valid on physical Visa Gift Cards from GiftCardMall.com through 10/26/17
- Store and eGift Cards are not a part of this promotion.
- Quantities are limited
The Math
In addition to the $3 off, you can get 1% cashback from either Ebates or Mr.Rebates, which used to stack in the past, but I have no recent DPs. When factoring in the cashback the final price for a $500 card looks something like this:
- Cost: $505.95
- Coupon: $-3
- Cashback: $-5
- Final Cost: $497.95
Need to Know
- GiftCardMall loves loves loves to cancel orders for no reason. Be prepared for some frustration if you haven’t ordered through them before.
- This deal is probably going to reach its limit sooner rather than later.
- Visa gift cards from GCM come with a name on them so they are a bit easier to use as regular debit cards at places where they like to check ID.
- These cards are issued by Metabank and are PIN-enabled. The pin is the last four digits of the card number.

Conclusion
It’s hard to argue with negative cost spend that can be done from the comfort of your home, but GiftCardMall isn’t the easiest to deal with. If you order from them regularly then this is probably worth jumping on and if you are like me and have orders cancelled for no reason, prepare for a few headaches, or just skip this altogether.

My order for just one $500 card was canceled by giftcardmall in less than 8 hours. I was just putting out a trial to see what happened. I wonder if anyone is able to use the discount to the get a $500 visa gift card there or do they cancel all orders? I was logged in as a guest and I did not put anything on the card so maybe that made a difference. Does anyone know what triggers them to cancel and if there is a way to actually get the offer without them canceling? Curious
On the Ebates site that links to GiftCardMall they state:
“Cash Back Terms
Exclusions: Cash Back is ot available on gift cards for Hess Gasoline, Gulf, Safeway, BP, Best Buy, Gift Card Mall eGift, Arco, Target, Choice Card; or on Visa gift card, Visa purchase Fee, …”
Is anyone having success with Ebates tracking these purchases for the 1% back?
