Vaccinated Visitors Could Bypass Hawaii’s Quarantine Requirements
The new Covid-19 vaccine could soon make traveling to Hawaii much easier. Lt. Gov. Josh Green said travelers who get vaccinated for COVID-19 will likely be exempted from quarantine and testing requirements as early as this spring.
“I’ve reached out to the governor with a policy decision that we accept people who are fully vaccinated as an exemption to the Safe Travels program,” said Green. “This is a massive game changing level of security if we get this done.”
Josh Green said officials are working on the plan while awaiting findings from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which would reveal if vaccinated people can still transmit coronavirus.
So far, about 11 million Americans have been vaccinated, or about 3% of the U.S. population. The Biden administration wants to vaccinate 100 million people in its first 100 days. Some airlines are also considering introducing travel passports, which should open up more opportunities to bypass travel requirements elsewhere.

Wonder if they would exempt kids since there is no vaccine for them yet We have plans to go in June – not sure if we are going to have to cancel.
Those of us who are already vaccinated would really like to get the ball rolling on this…
There’s been a year to prepare.
