Hilton Drops Award Prices at Some Top Properties
Hilton Honors points have lost value over the last year after three devaluations. But now there’s a bit of good news as Hilton is rolling back prices on some top properties.
While the lower award pricing is still much higher than what it was last December, it can yield some considerable savings for those who have been looking to redeem their points recently.
Some of the properties where award stays have gotten more affordable include:
- Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills: from 200,000 to 120,000
- Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya: from 180,000 to 145,000
- Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort: from 150,000 to 110,000 points per night
- Hermitage Bay, an SLH Hotel: from 250,000 to 230,000
- Conrad Orlando at Evermore: from 105,000 to 90,000
- Canaves Oia Suites, an SLH Hotel: from 240,000 to 175,000
This is a good time to check any current bookings and see if you can book at a lower rate.
It’s worth noting that you might also see variable pricing on Standard Room Reward rates, something that Hilton has introduced recently. So check different dates if you have a flexible schedule.
The good thing is that if a Standard Room Reward is available then you can always book it with a Hilton Free Night Reward.
Let us know if you come across any other properties that are now priced lower, or ones that have dynamic pricing for Standard Room Rewards.

Hilton, in their infinite wisdom, screwed themselves at these ridiculous award rates. I was going upgrade my Amex Hilton no AF card to an Amex Aspire. I had started the process, and then the next day, the devaluations were announced. I called Amex and canceled the upgrade.
