Hilton Hotel Santorini Greece

First Hilton Hotel Coming to Santorini in Greece

Hilton is set to open its first ever property in Santorini, Greece. The hotel is scheduled to welcome guests in Spring 2022.

Hilton has announced the signing of a franchise agreement with Alexandros Ltd to open Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton. The new 37-room hotel will have a private beach. It will be the latest Curio hotel in Greece, following the recent opening of The Royal Senses Resort & Spa Crete, Curio Collection by Hilton in June.

The hotel is in the south coast of the island. Each room will have its own private terrace and guests can enjoy their own personal hot tub or swimming pool. The hotel’s design is inspired from Santorini’s iconic blue and whitewashed architecture, as well as incorporating the island’s rugged natural beauty with stone walls and organic wooden textures.

The hotel will feature two restaurants and two bars. There are also two pools, a spa, fitness facilities and loungers by the beach.

Santorini is a famous tourist destination and the hotel is within a short distance of its most popular sights. From the architecture of the island’s cosmopolitan capital Fira to the prehistoric city of Akrotiri, visitors can explore the volcanic island’s many must-sees without straying too far.

About a mile away there’s Vlichada, a bustling marina full of seafood tavernas. Then there are attractions like the Santorini Arts Factory, volcanic cliffs and the famed Red Beach and iconic Perissa Black Sand Beach.

The Sea Breeze Santorini Beach Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton will join the Hilton Honors guest loyalty program, allowing more than 118 million members who book directly with Hilton to earn Points for hotel stays and experiences, plus instant benefits including contactless check-in with room selection, Digital Key and Connected Room.

  1. Went to Santorini two years ago. It was stunning – far exceeded my high expectations. And I have travelled to about 70 countries, staying at what most people would consider to be awesome locations so I feel I have a good perspective.

Travel to Santorini, but limit your time in Oia. Stay close to Imerovigli – Anastasis Apartment is a winner, but there are many other great places to stay. Be sure to hike Scaros Rock and have the time of your life!

Santorini may not be what it once was (is anything?) but it is still an incredible place!!! Go visit! You will not regret it!!!!

  2. Haven’t been there and that settles it for me: will never be going because it doesn’t exist anymore.
Just like the Cinque Terre: so absolutely packed full of people that whatever ‘charm’ it once had has been stamped out of existence.
Same reason I won’t go to a concert of my favorite bands (what’s left of them) from the 70s and 80s: the things I am looking for (their younger selves and my younger self too) cannot be found because their time has passed. Santorini doesn’t exist anymore. Only the tourist infrastructure that replaced it occupies that location now.
