As part of your vacation package, you’ll attend a two-hour personal preview and sales presentation of Hilton Grand Vacations, where you’ll learn how you and your family can enjoy the many benefits and privileges of vacation ownership with Hilton Grand Vacations. Notal Terms

Here are some notable terms of this Hilton timeshare offer:

  • You are not eligible to participate in this promotion if you:
    • (i) have an open, incomplete vacation package with Hilton Grand Vacations or one of its affiliates (“HGV”) requiring attendance at a sales presentation,
    • (ii) have attended an HGV sales presentation within the last year,
    • (iii) are an employee of HGV, Hilton Worldwide or their affiliated companies, or their immediate family members,
    • (iv) have a credit score as established by the developer or if FICO® information is not readily available, otherwise meet the seller’s financial risk underwriting requirements (If married or cohabitating, at least one must meet the credit requirements),
    • (v) have filed for bankruptcy within the past 7 years, or
    • (vi) are a group, consisting of more than one household traveling together.
  • Vacation packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Vacation package expires 12 months from date of purchase unless otherwise stated in the offer received.
  • A $19.95 charge applies to each reservation change made 7 days or more prior to arrival.
    • Should plans change within 7 days of scheduled arrival, requiring a reservation cancellation, change, or no-show, the equivalent of one (1) night at the currently published retail price ($175-$900) for the applicable resort or hotel at that time will be charged to the credit card used to purchase the vacation package.

I think they are usually a little flexible on that one year since your last presentation offer rule. It may be tied to each individual location.

What Is This Timeshare Presentation Offer Worth?

This is one of the better offers we have seen from Hilton Grand Vacations. You can get up to a 3-night stay and 100,000 points for just $199 plus tax. Just the points you get have a value in the $400 – $450 range ($.004 – $0.0045 per point).

The two to three night stay value will depend on the dates you select. I imagine most will be around $200 – $300 per night. That puts you at $1000 in overall value (on the low end) for $199 plus tax out of pocket. You need to decide if 2 hours of your time is worth a 75% – 80% discount.

Hilton Grand Vacations Timeshare Presentation Offer

Remember that you have 12 months to actually book your stay once you purchase a Hilton timeshare offer. It might be worth asking for something extra as well if you call. It has worked at times in the past. You can also ask about different destinations if nothing above fits your desires. You may even get some extra perks during your stay, depending on what kind of property they put you up in.

It’s also a good idea to prepare yourself for the timeshare presentation, which is mandatory. You can check out the experience of one of our readers who participated in one of these Hilton timeshare presentations. That should give you some idea on what to expect and how to best prepare yourself. Although, so much depends on the type of sales rep you get with these things.

  1. The links didn’t work for me. Whenever I clicked on the offer to Purchase Now, it states, “You’re One Step Closer to Getting Away. Although this package wasn’t the right fit, see what other offers are available.” Then it directs me to substandard offers. Anyone else have this issue?

  2. Just did one of these with Hilton in Orlando. We changed dates and ended up staying at the Hilton Signia – an official Disney world resort connected to the Waldorf instead of the original Hilton garden inn they booked us at. It was super nice! Presentation and pitch wasn’t bad either. I explained how we don’t pay for trips due to points and miles and our time was up and she said, okay you can leave. I said that’s it?! She said, “I can’t compete with free.” I thought it was well worth it!

  3. I have done these regularly with Hilton over the years a cross a few different locations. One thing to look for and keep in mind is that some of the locations where you do your ‘tour’ is NOT where you may stay…it’s possible that you will be booked into a lesser (value) hotel so always make sure you are able to stay in the actual property (or similar) where the preview takes place. I had this happen with Hyatt as well.
