The End of a Deal
Yesterday I wrote about a pretty amazing promotion from Visa Signature’s Luxury Hotel Collection where they were offering the following on stays at select Conrad, Waldorf Astoria and Curio hotels:
- A free night on stays of 2+ nights.
- $75 Visa gift card.
- $25 food & beverage credit.
- Free breakfast.
- Upgrades and more.
Well, as you may have guessed the promotion was very very popular and it ended. As of now, here is the message that is showing on the promotion page for the offer:
Well, you can’t get the 2nd night free, but at least you can get the $75 gift card?!? Just another case of why you should act quickly when you see a deal you like. While offers often have expiration dates, they sometimes have unstated redemption limits. Popular offers like this go away quickly. Often very quickly.
Were you able to book one of the participating hotels under this offer? If so, which one? Let us know in the comments!

Stuck a couple reservations in while the offer was still active. Got the Conrad Dublin for two nights next month and the Conrad New York in December. I see it says in the rate description on the Hilton App, one free night on stays of two nights or more. Glad I got in on this one in time.
Booked 2 nites Conrad Bali on the phone with Visa Concierge for $399 total includes tax, received email confirmation with everything spelled out . Will end up with $75 visa gift card $25 food voucher and 1 nite refund…. After I booked that, I had dinner and called back to book Singapore and was told NO MORE!!!!! How sad……
Got in for two nights at the Conrad Singapore just before Christmas. A bit more than I wanted to pay, but the BOGO + $75 Visa + $25 credit made it a great deal.
I booked a two-night stay at the Conrad in Chicago in March. I feel pretty assured that they’ll honor the rate as it’s spelled out pretty clearly in the emailed reservation confirmation. I guess we’ll see!
Booked two separate 2-night stays at the Roosevelt in New Orleans although one was a backup and probably will cancel that one.
Yes I did
[…] As I said many times, I value my readers’ time. I did not write about this “deal” because I was certain it would end this way…Hotel Deal Dead: 2nd Night Free Offer at Waldrof, Conrad and Curio. […]
I was able to get 2 nights at the Conrad Macau. The email reservation confirmation spelled out all the details and I created screen shots of the promotion along with my confirmed reservation. So I have multiple proofs of the promotion details and the actual confirmed reservation (plus T&C spelled out).
Years ago I got a super promotion deal that a hotel did not want to honor but when I showed them the print outs of my confirmed reservation they reluctantly honored the special deal.
Crazy how fast this went. The fact that they didn’t expect the volume is ludicrous. Managed to book yesterday for 2 nights in March at the Conrad Bangkok. The reservation shows up on my hilton account but doesn’t indicate any rate details. I assume they’ll still honor the terms of this (short-lived) promo, right?
Yes I assume if you booked through the promotional page you should be ok. You might want to reach out to confirm it in writing just to be safe.
wow that was shockingly fast…
