Hyatt All-Inclusive Resort in Cozumel to Open Doors in Early 2022
Hyatt acquired Apple Leisure Group (ALG) in August for $2.7 billion. ALG manages well-known brands such as Secrets Resorts & Spa, Dreams Resorts & Spas, and more. The addition of these properties will significantly expand Hyatt’s luxury getaway options.
One of those Dreams Resorts & Spas all-inclusives will soon open its doors in the Mexican Caribbean island of Cozumel. It will be part of Hyatt’s portfolio and the World of Hyatt program.
The new Dreams resort will be one of the first Apple Leisure Group (ALG) resorts to debut after Hyatt’s acquisition of the company this summer. All-inclusive Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa will be the brand’s first-ever resort in Cozumel. The resort will welcome guests in the first quarter of 2022.
The new hotel will bring the total number of properties in the Dreams portfolio to 24. It follows two recent debuts in Puerto Morelos, and also on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort will have a total of 154 suites, including a number of junior suite with swim-up access and oceanfront views, as per CaribJournal. The property will have four bars and lounges, four a la carte dining concepts; pool and beach service, 24-hour room service and daily activities and entertainment.
Guests at Dreams Cozumel will also have access to the nearby Sunscape Sabor Cozumel. Adult staying at the resort will have access to the neighboring Secrets Aura Cozumel adults-only resort as well.

They have different level of suites
I wonder what Hyatt category / how many points this property will require. If every room is a suite, I guess that would mean no (suite) upgrades for Globalists?
