22 Bahia Principe Resorts Joining World of Hyatt

World of Hyatt is officially expanding its “Inclusive Collection” footprint. Starting March 24, 2026 they have 22 Bahia Principe Resorts joining World of Hyatt. These properties were already part of Hyatt after a deal was reached in 2024, but it took a while to fully integrate them. Update 3/25/26: They are now bookable. I have added the property links and award categories below.

How It Will Work

Starting March 24, you can start earning and burning points at all 22 properties. Here is the breakdown of the value:

  • Redemptions: Free nights will start at just 12,000 points (off-peak), making these some of the most accessible all-inclusive redemptions in the portfolio.
  • Earning: You’ll earn 5 Base Points per $1 spent, plus an additional 4 Bonus Points per $1 for for World of Hyatt Credit Cardmembers.
  • Elite Status: Stays will count toward Tier Status and Milestone Rewards.
  • Brand Explorer: These properties count as a unique brand for your Brand Explorer Award (stay at 5 unique brands, get 1 free night).

More All Inclusive Hotels Coming To Hyatt

If you were looking at an all inclusive vacation this year, then one of these 22 Bahia Principe Resorts may fit the bill. Especially if you can snag an off peak award (12,000) at one of the Category A properties. The question is what kind of shape are those properties in? Either way, at least we have another brand explorer option to hit.

  1. Hyatt has been adding all-inclusive properties for a while now. Is this a move away from its core clientele? I ask because the question has been asked a few times recently. Not in the context of adding these properties but in the context of the announced and rumored changes to the loyalty program. I’m not a Hyatt guy. But, as an independent observer, it seems to me that Hyatt is gravitating toward the economics or the other programs. And, in doing so, the focus is on the dollars and not the members/guests.

    • I think Hyatt has been focusing more on profit versus customer experience for a few years now. They likely saw how much more valuable their program was compared to the competition and decided it wasn’t worth the premium. The hotel owners are all of these brands’ end customer anyway – we are simply the product they sell to them.

I think they noticed that no other hotel group did AI all that well as a whole and decided it was an area they could fill. They must be doing well with it to continue the expansion at the rate they have.

  2. “I know my buddy enjoyed his time at La Romana when it was a Hilton property.”

Those became Dreams and Secrets La Romana, separate from this BP La Romana which has been around since at least before COVID and is quite a ways away from the Dreams / Secrets properties in both distance and quality. It’s far enough away that the BP La Romana is actually a bit closer to the Santo Domingo airport vs Punta Cana (50 minutes vs 75).
