Hyatt Extending Elite Status and Free Night Certificates

Hyatt Extending Elite Status and Free Night Certificates

As concerns over the coronavirus continue to rise all over the globe, the travel industry is feeling the hit. Less people are booking travel so airlines and hotels are taking steps to entice people to keep flying and staying and staying at their properties.

Many airlines have waived change and cancellation fee. Now Hyatt is offering some customers an extension of their elite status and free night certificates. This was already being extended to people in China or those with upcoming stays there. But more people are getting this email, even out side that region.

Doctor of Credit reports that some loyalty members have also had success asking for their free night certificates or status to be extended due to the coronavirus (officially known as COVID-19 now ).

With more countries reporting new cases and fatalities, Hyatt should just extend this offer to all World of Hyatt members.

  1. I hope I get this in my account. I could pile up 7 concurrent Cat 1-4 awards just with CC renewal, 15k spend and the 5 brand awards, instead of having to burn them every year.

    • Make that 8:
      2019 (currently active), 2020, 2021 renewal awards
      2019 (currently active), 2020, 2021 15k spend awards
      Two 5-brand awards
