This has got to be one of the best deals we have seen in a while.You can get super cheap Avios, up to a total of of 90,000. And we’re talking super cheap, probably less than 1/3 of a cent. Let’s check the details of this amazing offer.

The Offer

Iberia Plus members will earn 9,000 bonus Avios for every ticket booked on Iberia.com  from June 21, 2018 till June 24, 2018 for for travel on Iberia, Iberia Express, or Air Nostrum up to a max of 90,000 Avios.

Key Terms

  • Maximum of 90,000 Avios
  • Bonus Avios are deposited within 10 days after you purchase your ticket
  • Multiple passengers on a single ticket will each earn 9,000 bonus Avios if they have been identified as Iberia Plus members at the time of booking
  • All classes and destinations are eligible for the promotion
  • One way tickets are eligible
  • Bonus Avios must be used by December 1, 2018

Conclusion

I’ll repeat myself. This is a crazy promotion and it did sound too good to be true when I first saw it. But it seems that it has been confirmed that Iberia will actually honor it, even if you don’t end up flying the segment you booked for this promotion. You can book the cheapest flight possible and if you can’t make that flight, you will still get your points. The only way to lose your bonus points, would be to request a refund. There’s really no catch here, besides the fact that you need to use your points by December 1, 2018.

    • From what I have read you can’t transfer them (like to British Airways) but you can redeem them on partner airlines.
