IHG Point Breaks

Point Breaks Preview List For 9/29-11/30

ChloeAM over in the IHG Rewards forums posted a preview list of the upcoming Point Breaks hotels. These hotels will be available to book for 5,000 points per night starting on September 29, 2014 for stays through November 30, 2014.

What Are Point Breaks

Every couple of months IHG discounts a select group of hotels around the world. These hotels which cover almost all of their brands, can be booked for 5,000 points per night during the promotional period. This is a great deal, especially for high-end hotels when they are included on the list.

Any Good Hotels?

We have seen the number of high-end hotels on the Point Breaks list decline over the past several iterations. Even though the preview list doesn’t show the property names, I clicked through to all of the international hotels and picked a few of the stand outs.

Unfortunately you will see that it is slim pickings. Unless they add more high-end hotels when the full list is released on Monday (which they generally don’t), then there is only one Intercontinetal hotel. Note that the properties listed below are only international and you can find the U.S. list along with all of the other international hotels over on their website.
