JetBlue Adds Two New Puerto Rico Routes
JetBlue will expand its services in Puerto Rico, introducing two new routes to the beautiful island, also known as “La Isla del Encanto”.
These new routes, available for purchase starting today and scheduled to commence this summer, will provide year-round flights from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina, and from Rafael Hernández International Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to Tampa International Airport (TPA) in Florida.
This announcement marks a significant milestone for JetBlue, as it coincides with the airline’s 21st anniversary of providing air travel services in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to San Juan, JetBlue currently offers its services in Aguadilla and Ponce, operating an average of 35 departures from Puerto Rico each day. With the introduction of the Raleigh route, JetBlue will expand its services and offer flights between Puerto Rico and a total of 12 cities in the United States and the Caribbean.
When JetBlue joins forces with Spirit, assuming the planned merger is completed successfully, it will open up additional growth opportunities in Puerto Rico that would otherwise not be possible. By leveraging the strengths of both airlines, JetBlue aims to offer customers more options and expand its low-fares to new nonstop destinations that are currently not viable.

San Juan Growth
JetBlue is advancing its focus city strategy in San Juan. New service between San Juan (SJU) and Raleigh, North Carolina (RDU) will take off on July 5, 2023. With this new route JetBlue will now operate service between San Juan and 12 nonstop destinations and will offer an average of 30 departures per day from San Juan.

Launching New Service to Aguadilla
JetBlue’s new service in Aguadilla brings a new choice to a route with limited competition today. Service from Aguadilla to Tampa is set to launch on July 5, 2023. JetBlue will fly up to 5 daily departures from Aguadilla in 2023.
