JetBlue and IcelandAir Announce Frequent-Flier Partnership
JetBlue and Icelandair announced yesterday a frequent-flier partnership that will allow customers to earn points on the other airline’s flights. The frequent-flier pact expands on an existing codeshare partnership already in place between the two carriers.
Earn JetBlue Points on IcelandAir Flights
JetBlue customers wishing to receive TrueBlue Points on Icelandair flights will receive 1 point for every 2 miles flown in economy and 1 point per mile for tickets booked in Icelandair’s Economy Comfort class. Fliers buying Icelandair’s “Saga Class” business-class seats will receive 1.25 points per dollar. JetBlue customers will receive a minimum of 500 points per Icelandair flight, though the points will not count toward elite status on JetBlue.
For travel completed after April 3rd, 2017, you may request points for flights flown within twelve months but no sooner than fourteen days. To request points, go to the Request Missing Points page and fill in the required information.
JetBlue also sent out an email this morning with an offer to celebrate the new partnership. For a limited time, you can earn double TrueBlue points on Icelandair. Just be sure to enter your TrueBlue number when you book your Icelandair flight for travel through 7/7/17.
Earn IcelandAir Points on JetBlue Flights
Icelandair says points earned by its customers flying on JetBlue will count toward elite status in its Saga Club loyalty program.
Icelandair Saga Club will earn both Saga Points and Card Points when flying with JetBlue. Saga Silver members get 10% bonus on the Card Points and Saga Gold members get 20% bonus on the Card Points.
IcelandAir is also offering Saga Club members Double Saga Points when flying on JetBlue from May 4 until July 7, 2017. TrueBlue members of JetBlue will also earn TrueBlue points for Icelandair flights.
All you have to do is to remember to put your Saga Club number when booking your JetBlue flight and enjoy your Double Points.
