JetBlue Vacations Promo for Free Hotel and Cheap Points

Easy JetBlue Vacations Promo for Free Hotel and Cheap Points

JetBlue has two big offers for its credit cards. You can earn a total of 100,000 TrueBlue points with either the JetBlue Plus Card or JetBlue Business Card. If you grabbed these cards, or if you had them already, then today is the last day to use up your $100 Vacations package credit. This is a benefit on both the personal and business card. These are calendar year credits that expire on December 31, 2020.

Usually these credits are not that exciting. But now JetBlue is running a promotion for Vacations packages. For JetBlue cardholders who have not use these credits yet, it can be a great time to do so. Even if you’re not sure when your next vacation might happen, you can book a staycation at a hotel nearby.

JetBlue Vacations Hotel + Points

JetBlue recently launched a new type of vacation package called Hotel + Points. Normally it bundles a hotel stay with 5,000 TrueBlue bonus points. During this promotion, the amount of points has been doubled. If you book one of these Hotel + Points packages by 1/4/2021 and travel by 9/7/21, you get 10,000 points instead of the standard 5,000 points for the same price. You also earn 1 point per eligible $1 on your bundle.

The added points make these bookings a little better, but what actually makes a difference here, is something Bethany and BougieMiles figured out a way to make this deal even better. You can actually use more than one $100 credit on the same booking. Apparently you can split the payment across two or more cards by just calling into the Vacations call center at 844-528-2229.

Bethany was able to split a $310 booking across three JetBlue cards. That means that she paid just $10 for a free night and 10,000 JetBlue points. I booked a $230 one-night stay and split my payment over the two JetBlue cards that I just applied for.

Additionally, JetBlue is waiving any change or cancellation penalties for bookings through February. So you should also be able to receive a refund in the form of a JetBlue Vacations travel credit if your plans change.

Conclusion

Booking through JetBlue Vacations normally doesn’t make sense. Hotels are often overpriced, and even the $100 credit and the usual 5K points don’t make it any better. But right now it is a good time to look into it. Even if you just have one card, it can make sense to book something if you have travel plans and can find a cheap stay. I didn’t see anything under $230 a night for the locations I searched, but maybe you can.

This deal gets much better for those who have multiple JetBlue cards. And, the new year is only two days away, so you can use the credits once again. Keep in mind that the bundle doesn’t include the flight, just hotel and 10,000 points. You also need to charge $100 or more on your JetBlue card to receive the $100 JetBlue Vacations credit.
