Kohl’s Will Take Amazon Returns at All Stores
Back in 2017, Kohl’s started a partnership with Amazon by selling some of its products in stores. It also started a pilot program, handling Amazon returns at about 80 locations. That number grew to 100 Kohl’s stores more recently, but it will soon go nationwide. The retailer said on Tuesday that it will accept Amazon returns at more than 1,150 locations across the U.S., starting in July.
With this new service, Kohl’s says it will accept “eligible” Amazon items, without a box or label, at no additional cost for the customer. It will then package the items and send them back to one of Amazon’s return centers.
Kohl’s is looking to draw more new customers into its stores. The thinking is that they will browse and probably do some shopping while they make their returns.
Kohl also said last month that it would expand its relationship with the e-commerce giant by carrying Amazon-branded products in more than 200 stores.

What’s likely missing is they’ll make returns at Kohl’s free and charge for return shipping labels otherwise.
I no longer get free returns, unless I drop it off at the Amazon return center near the downtown college 10 miles away.
[…] Update 4/23/19: Starting Tuesday the 30th Kohl’s will be accepting Amazon returns at all stores. The press release states that eligible items will be eligible for a return, but doesn’t state what those eligible items actually are. Hat tip to MtM […]
Maybe I am missing something, but wouldn’t it be more work for most people to travel to a Kohl’s store than it is to ship an item back to Amazon. Especially since the type of person who buys from amazon are the type of people who aren’t interested in going to the store.
I know that for me, kohls is a short distance from my home and open after 5pm, while the post office closes at 5pm and i get off work at 5pm.
