New Low-Cost Airline Launches Flights to Europe
PLAY, a new Icelandic, low-cost airline has announced the launch of flights between the U.S. and several popular European destinations.
Customers can already book flights from Boston Logan International Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to 22 European destinations starting in spring 2022. The flights, which connect through Iceland, will take you to popular hubs such a Berlin, Brussels, Copenhagen, Dublin, London, and Paris. There are also smaller markets such as Alicante, Malaga and Tenerife in Spain, Trondheim in Norway and Bologna, Italy.
Flights from BWI will begin on April 20, 2022, and flights from BOS will start on May 11.
Similar to other low-cost carriers, PLAY offers a streamlined, no-frills service. You pay for your seat and you don’t get much else with it. There are baggage fees and charges for selecting a particular seat.

The fare sale is valid for round-trip flights departing from the U.S. You must book by midnight Eastern Time on December 24, 2021, for travel between May and June 2022 and between August and October 2022. You can see the full details and book your flights here.
