Make Contactless Payments with Your Hand
If you’re always forgetting your wallet at home, then you can find a permanent solution for just $299. No it’s not a smart watch, or a phone app that lets you make contactless payments (although those would be obvious options). This is a microchip implanted in your hand and connected to an app.
The device, which installed just under the skin, allows you to replace your bulky wallet with a convenient alternative to a credit card. British-Polish company, Walletmor, says that last year it became the first company to offer these chips for sale.
“The Walletmor payment implant has the advantage over the other forms, because it cannot be tracked, hacked, or copied, and one can pay with it wherever contactless payments with cards such as VISA or Mastercard are supported”, the company says.
Walletmor’s chip, which weighs less than a gram and is little bigger than a grain of rice, is comprised of a tiny microchip and an antenna encased in a biopolymer. This is a naturally sourced material, similar to plastic, confirmed to be biocompatible by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).
The financial operation of the Walletmor payment implant is based on the world-wide contactless and wireless Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, used, among others, when paying with VISA or Mastercard cards. Importantly, the implant is a passive device and does not have its own power source (battery). It does not generate any radio waves on its own and is only activated with a contactless payment terminal, and only at a very short distance. “There is no way to be able to track someone with a Walletmor implant”, the company says.
The microchip is for sale here. After you make your $299 purchase, you need to download the Purewrist app, an independent digital wallet, where you store your funds. Following successful verification and activation, fund the account. You can then arrange the installation with a specialist. It’s as painful as a pinch.
Once you link your Walletmor payment implant to your Purewrist wallet, it can be used to make payment using the funds in your account. You can use a standard bank transfer or external debit or credit card to top up your Purewrist account.
Planning on getting your implant any time soon?

Time to think of a way to do some MS with this.
My new Charger Hellcat order has been delayed TWICE because of the chip shortage but some joker has a fist full of chips ready to implant for contactless payment. This is madness!
LOL, just kidding. I know these are separate issues but me whining about my new car being delayed is as absurd as the thought of someone getting this procedure done.
But you know there will be someone who will do it.
LOL, I’m happy to just use my watch for tap payment, thank you very much!
That’s not incredibly creepy at all.
