Marriott Bonvoy Boundless Credit Card Offer Increased To 100K

Chase has beefed up their welcome offer for the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card.  I know we all hate the name and we really miss SPG points.  Well you can think of it this way, 100K Bonvoy points is like getting 33K SPG points.  Well when you put it like that….😉.

The offer ends sometime during the day on March 5th.

Offer Details

The name is terrible and they spent a ton of money rebranding to something that means nothing, well who cares. The points are still points and I know people like staying at Marriott hotels or flying in first class and these points can help you do that.  So here are the new welcome offer details:

  • Earn 100,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 within the first three months
  • $95 annual fee is NOT waived

Earning Structure

The Marriott Bonvoy Boundless’ earning structure is as follows:

  • 6X Bonvoy points per dollar at Marriott Bonvoy hotels
  • 2x Bonvoy points per dollar on everything else

Card Perks

The best perks of the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card are as follows:

  • 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year.
  • Anniversary “free” night for a hotel of up to 35,000 points

Application Rules

The card does fall under Chase’s 5/24 rule and is not availble to the following people:

  • current cardmembers of the Marriott BonvoyTM Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier) or Marriott Bonvoy BoundlessTM credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), or
  • previous cardmembers of the Marriott BonvoyTM Premier credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier) or Marriott Bonvoy BoundlessTM credit card (also known as Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus), who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 24 months.

Eligibility for the new cardmember bonus: The Welcome Offer is not available to you if you:

  • are a current cardmember, or were a previous cardmember within the last 30 days, of Marriott BonvoyTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Credit Card from American Express);
  • are a current or previous cardmember of either Marriott Bonvoy BusinessTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy BrilliantTM American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest® American Express Luxury Card), and received a new cardmember bonus or upgrade bonus in the last 24 months; or
  • applied and were approved for Marriott Bonvoy BusinessTM American Express® Card (also known as The Starwood Preferred Guest® Business Credit Card from American Express) or Marriott Bonvoy BrilliantTM American Express® Card (also known as the Starwood Preferred Guest®American Express Luxury Card) within the last 90 days.

Conclusion

Even though I am not a fan of Marriott I can see the value in the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit card offer.  It is offering value in excess of $650 and the anniversary night will more than offset the annual fee for most people. Here is a breakdown of all of the new Marriott Bonvoy cards.

After completing the minimum spend you would only be 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points away from 50,000 airline miles in a slue of programs as well.  That is because 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points can be turned into 25,000 airline miles for most of the airlines in the program.
