Mask Mandate Extended

Mask Mandate Extended Till May 3rd 2022 For Public Transportation

I was hopeful the mask mandate would end when it was set to expire April 18th, 2022 but I am not surprised it was extended. The Biden administration came out today to inform everyone that the mask mandate would be sticking around at least a bit longer. This time the extension is only for two weeks, instead of the standard month or more. The new mandate is set to expire on May 3, 2022, as long as it is not once again extended. They are doing this out of extreme caution with a recent slight uptick in cases and seeing what happened in parts of Europe etc. over the last month.

I had hoped that the mandate would end next week because most masks are much less effective against the currently dominant variants. It also doesn’t make sense to me to allow eating and drinking on planes and in the airport but require them the rest of the time. Once that mask comes off, even if an N95 mask, you have lost containment. It is also strange that you can go to a mall or store right next to the airport without one but once you enter it you must wear one. The rules just don’t seem to make a lot of sense to me.

The requirement that would be even bigger to drop is re-entry testing. More and more countries are starting to remove a testing requirement for entry. I am not sure which will be dropped first at this point but hopefully both are near the end of their rope.

We will have to wait and see what May 3rd brings though.

  1. These Covid tyrant scumbags are drunk with power, and won’t give up their dreams of setting up a medical dictatorship easily.

  2. Here’s Billy Bob back YET AGAIN to say “I told you so”!!!!
I believe I wrote, way back in March, that “if you think you’ll go mask-less on April 18, you’re deluded,” and how right I was.
Among the most influential mask cultists are some who want to control many other aspects of your life, but that’s another story. For now, remember that the real goal is control; masks have clearly failed miserably in their “stated” purpose of ‘stopping the spread’ as well as the long and growing list of why you must wear them.
The cultists wear them to signal to other cultists; you’ll note that the original stated reason doesn’t even appear in this post because it’s irrelevant at this point. It’s about control and virtue signalling, nothing else.
