MGM and Marriott Bonvoy Members Can Now Transfer Points

Marriott Bonvoy and MGM Rewards expanded their recent partnership today with the ability to transfer points between the two programs.

This adds more points redemption options for both programs but it comes with some limitations and a transfer rate that is more favorable for Marriott Bonvoy members.

As first reported by One Mile at a Time, starting today MGM Rewards members can transfer 10 MGM Points from the MGM Rewards Program to 8 Points in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. Transfer from MGM Rewards to Marriott Bonvoy here.

Similarly, Marriott Bonvoy members can transfer 10 Points from Marriott Bonvoy to 8 MGM Points in the MGM Rewards program. Transfer from Marriott Bonvoy to MGM Rewards here.

Considering the valuation of points on each program, the 10:8 ratio is best for those who have Marriott Bonvoy points. But it is also gives MGM Rewards members the option of booking more properties with their points.

This new transfer option comes with a maximum of 30,000 points per calendar year, which is quite a low cap for points transfers.
