Really good podcast today. Both the ‘kids in basic economy’ and ‘Atlantis’ discussions provided useful first hand info that could help my family vacation better. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed and thanks for listening Gus!
I just got back from Atlantis a couple of days ago. In dual player mode my family of five got two connected rooms in the West tower courtesy of Caesar’s Diamond status. I had read about the service issues as well but did not experience any. The Royal rooms were dated but both of our rooms were fully functionally and clean. Service personnel in general was friendly and we did not feel the ‘disdain’ the pod cast is describing. In general my family walked away feeling opposite of yours. We expected the worst based on previous reviews and ended up with a perfectly fine experience realizing that the property is older and deals such as Caesar’s are often only possible for this very reason.
Thanks for sharing as always with hotels I think it will be YMMV depending on the situations you are put in. Usually people have a good experience when issues don’t arise but I think seeing how a hotel deals with adversity is very telling with how their service is.
This should be a good one. Have been on the fence about Atlantis w C Diamond. Thinking Shawn might have taken one for the team.
He did for sure 🙂
