A few items came across my desk that I felt were newsworthy. Let’s take a look.

CVS 5 Back Visa Cards No More

Simon Mall and some stores sell 5 Back Visa gift cards. These prepaid Visa cards offer 5% back at select merchants. Due to overwhelming popularity (my guess), CVS will be leaving this program as of January 20th and thus won’t be eligible for 5% back. This was a popular option for many, so make sure to use your 5 Back cards before its too late. HT: Frequent Miler

Delta Flash Sale

Delta is holding an award flash sale for travel to Mexico. Here are the key details:

  • Origins & Destinations: Award fares starting at 22,000 miles round-trip (plus taxes and fees) on select flights from the U.S. 48 to Mexico.
  • Fares: Starting at 22,000 miles round-trip plus taxes and fees.
  • Purchase By: January 11, 2017
  • Travel Period: January 9 through March 15, 2017

Awards generally start at 35K roundtrip to Mexico I believe, so this represents a 37% discount. You can find the full details and terms here.
