Moomoo Free Stock Offer – Get 8 Free Stocks!

One of my favorite ways to juice up my holdings a bit over the past few years has been with brokerage app free stock offers. We constantly update our full roundup of free stock offers, because they can be quite valuable. Many of these apps offer a free stock or two, but now Moomoo has really upped their game with an offer for up to 8 free stocks!

The Offer

Open a Moomoo account and deposit funds to receive up to 8 free stocks.

How It Works

  • When you open an account and your net deposit reaches $100, you will get 2 free stocks up to $200.
  • When your net deposit reaches $1500, you will get 2 extra free stocks up to $1000!
  • When your net deposit reaches $5000, you will get 4 extra free stocks up to $1000!

Up until a couple of days ago Moomoo was only offering 4 free stocks, so I’m glad to see they have doubled their offer! As far as I know this is the best sign-up offer available across brokerage apps as well. Each stock you receive will be valued from $4 to $1,000. (The first two will only be valued up to $200.)

Need to Know

I have used Moomoo for quite some time now and have found their service to be in line with other online brokerages. Their app is a little more complicated than some others, but once you get the hang of it the info provided is good and detailed. Is it the cleanest looking app? No, but I’ve enjoyed using it and have had no issues with Moomoo or their service is the 1+ years I have had an account.

Moomoo 8 Free Stock Offer – Bottom Line

There is a lot happening in the world of the stock market and Moomoo seems to be trying to take advantage of anger towards Robinhood by grabbing some of their customer base. This has lead to a great 8 free stock offer. While you do have to deposit $5K to get the stocks, with the potential value I think many will be interested.

  1. Almost signed up for this until I realized it’s owned by Futu Holdings Ltd which a Chinese company with Tencent holding the controlling stake. Sure, they MAY NOT be taking your data, but why chance that for $150 worth of stocks.

  2. Any data points on this? A range of $4 to $1,000 is a very big range. I would hate to get stuck with a bunch of stocks worth $4.

    • Here are the odds that they publish. “ Your free stocks are chosen randomly from our inventory of settled shares according to a specific probability distribution, so you may not receive the same stock as what your friend does.

The probability distribution is as following

For cumulative deposit reaches $100, there is an an approximately 99.6% chance to get a share of stock worth $4-$15, a 1 in 250 chance to get a share of stock worth $10-$200

For cumulative deposit reaches $1500 or $5000, there is an approximately 98.8% chance to get a share of stock worth $10-$50, a 2 in 250 chance to get a share of stock worth $50-$200 and a 1 in 250 chance to get a share of valuable stock worth $200-$1,000”
