$3 Movies At Tons Of Theaters, One Day Only

Did I hear $3 movies, is it 1982 again? A man can dream, right? Bring back shoulder pads, MC hammer pants and young Michael J Fox! Once we are done daydreaming about the awesomeness that was the 80’s, thanks Stranger Things for reviving all of that for us, let’s talk about a fun deal happening right here and now. This Saturday, September 3rd, will be national cinema day. I know, I know, these dumb national “day” things are getting out of hand, but this one actually pays off for us. To celebrate the day more than 3,000 theaters will be selling tickets for $3 or less all day long. Some even throw in some discounted food deals too.

Major theaters like Regal Cinemas and AMC are participating, as well as a ton of local cinemas. It gets even better, every theater that participates is keeping the tickets at $3 or less for all viewing options. That includes IMAX, 3D etc. which are normally quite a bit more expensive than a regular viewing. Be sure to check the website of your favorite theater to see if they are participating.

Labor Day weekend is usually one of the worst weekends for movie ticket sales so the industry is hoping that this helps fill the coffers. I am hoping to take advantage of the offer at my favorite AMC theater with my son.
