New Amex Offers
It’s the first business day of 2023, so American Express has launched many new Amex Offers. While the majority of the offers are for 2% to 5% cash back at specific merchants, there are also three travel focused offers that we think are worth highlighting.
You can earn 35,000 bonus points if you spend $1,000 on Celebrity Cruises, $150 credit for Hilton stays in Mexico, and a $60 credit for Sonesta stays in the US. Let’s see the details.
Celebrity Cruises
There are two offers available:
- Get 17,500 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $500 in one or more eligible transactions online at celebritycruises.com/amex or by calling 1-844-530-3783 by 3/31/2023.
- Get 35,000 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $1,000 in one or more eligible transactions online at celebritycruises.com/amex or by calling 1-844-530-3783 by 3/31/2023.
Hilton
Get a one-time $150 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to spend a minimum of $750 USD in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges when you pay for your stay at participating properties in the Hilton portfolio in Mexico from 1/3/2023 to 4/30/2023. Book at Hilton.com.
- Offer valid only at participating Hilton Portfolio hotels and resorts in Mexico.
- Reservations must be made directly online at hilton.com, by phone at 1-800-HILTONS (445-8667) or via the Hilton Honors app.
- Excludes any Hilton locations outside of Mexico.
- Not valid on gift card purchases.
- Offer does not apply to advance purchase rates, including Advance Purchase, Save Now & Pay and Non-refundable rates.

Sonesta

Is this offer with Gold or just Platinum? Would I be able to access the offer if approved today?
I already have a celebrity cruise booked directly through Celebrity Cruises. I paid the deposit on my Chase Sapphire Preferred. If I apply for an Amex (which one) can I pay the remainder due on the Amex Card and get the bonus? Thanks,
Yeah they should let you pay your balance with the Amex card. You can either call or usually do it online. I don’t have any experience with Celebrity but Royal Caribbean their sister brand allows this online. Either way calling should work.
