New Chase Sapphire Reserve to Go Live June 21?

New Chase Sapphire Reserve to Go Live June 21?

As you’re probably aware, rumors have been going around for a while about a revamped Chase Sapphire Reserve. The rumors seem to be confirmed now with more and more details trickling in, and images shared by Chase Sapphire on Instagram. They have also teased a business version of the card.

Those Instagram posts hinted at a Summer 2025 launch, but Miles Earn and Burn reports exact dates, which means that the revamped card is just over a week away.

The site cites a “trustworthy anonymous source” which reports that the “changes will be officially announced with details on June 17, and the program will switch on June 21 which gives you a few days to decide whether to exist under the old or the new program. Apparently significant parts the old program will be grandfathered for a significant amount of time for existing card holders.”

We also heard that the 1.5 cents per point redemptions through Chase Travel might be going away. They could be replaced with the Points Boost Program that will give you a value of up to 2 cents through limited time promotions.

The good thing is that, based on the reported launch dates, you will have a few days to consider your options and see if applying or upgrading to the Chase Sapphire Reserve card makes sense. It’s not clear if we will know the welcome bonus by that June 17th date.
