$100 Off $100+ Orbitz
Hopefully many of you remember the amazing Cyber Monday deal Orbitz put on last year. Basically they offered $100 off $100+ hotel bookings and allowed the code to be used multiple times! Well it seems that deal has returned. Sort of.
Currently you can save $100 off $100+ hotels again on Orbitz, however only for travel through October 2 September 30, 2015. So if you have plans for the next couple of weeks or are looking for a last minute getaway, this may be a good option for you.
How to Get the Discount
To get the discount, simply visit Orbitz and search using the promo code MASTERPASS. Pretty much all brand names are excluded. When viewing the results, look for hotels that are listed as “Promo Code Eligible”. Those should all work. Also note that the cost of the booking has to be $100 or more before taxes or the discount won’t apply.
Others have reported being able to use this promotion more than once, so the optimal strategy would be to get as close to $100 as possible per booking. In some cities like Las Vegas, you can get a nice hotel midweek for 2 nigths with this promo. Of course those darn resort fees do sting a bit.
Key Terms
Offer is valid for a limited time only and is only available when displayed on www.orbitz.com. Available on desktop and mobile web where MasterPass is an available payment option. Book a qualifying standalone, pre-paid hotel stay (total cost $100 or more) with travel occurring between September 18, 2015 and September 30, 2015 via Orbitz using MasterPass as the payment method and promo code MASTERPASS, and receive $100 off your booking. Most major chains are excluded.
Orbitz Rewards & Portal
If you have not joined the Orbitz Rewards program, you can get $25 towards a future booking by using someone’s referral link. All current members have one. Here is mine. I do believe it takes awhile for the $25 to come, so I don’t think it will work with this deal, but I suppose it is possible. Depending on how much your final booking is, you may also want to use a portal to save even more.
Conclusion
This is a fantastic deal and one that won’t last long. Of course the kicker is the travel by date of September 30, but this could just turn a quick weekend getaway into a “free” weekend getaway. I know I am looking at the possibility of sneaking away next weekend. Happy hotel hunting!
