New York City Tops List of Priciest New Year’s Eve Destinations
New York City has claimed the top spot in the list of the most expensive destination in the world for accommodation this New Year’s Eve. The latest survey comes from CheapHotels.org.
The survey compared hotel prices across 50 major cities and looked at the rate for the cheapest available double room for a 3-night stay from December 30 – January 2. Only hotels with a central location, with three stars or more, and with generally good guest reviews were considered.
With a nightly rate of $312 for the cheapest room, New York city ranked as the most expensive destination. Another US city, Miami in Florida, emerged 2nd with a nightly rate of $297, while Sydney, Australia completes the top 3 with a marginally cheaper rate of $295.
