Groupon 25% Off

Groupon is offering 25% off of up to 3 Local Deals with the code MARCH25. Some people have reported that Groupon has been raising prices before a sale, so it is important to perform a little due diligence. I have been looking at a few local deals and they all are still the same price right now.

Don’t forget that you can also get up to 10% back by visiting Groupon through a portal.

Amazon Prime Pantry $5.99 Credit

prime pantry groupon discount

Amazon Prime members are often spoiled by the service’s 2 day shipping, but there is a way to save a nice chunk of cash if you are willing to wait a little bit. Amazon is currently offering a $5.99 credit to their Prime Pantry service if you choose the “No-Rush Shipping” option during checkout. You can get as many credits as you wish, however only one can be used on each order.

Normally the offer for No-Rush Shipping is a $1 digital credit, so this $5.99 offer is pretty good in my opinion. (Note: Not every item purchased will have the No-Rush option, however I see it almost all of the time.) In case you haven’t heard, Prime Pantry is Amazon’s dry goods service which sells a number of food and household items at a decent price.

On Friday I ordered a book and chose the No-Rush Shipping option, so I will be able to try out Prime Pantry this week. Usually I have found No-Rush Shipping is pretty good, although it can take up to 5 business days. In the case of my book, it is arriving on Tuesday, which is the same as if I had chosen two day shipping! Win win.

  1. I was lured back to Amazon Prime with an Amex BCP offer of 1 year free Prime over the holidays.

I recently made a purchase and also noticed this $5.99 Pantry Credit. I did take it since the item wasn’t in need for a week or two, but most likely I won’t use it because the prices are still really high for products that I’m fine taking a substitute brand for, like ketchup or Kirkland laundry soap.

As you probably know, every penny counts when your family is growing, which is why I stopped paying for Prime in late 2013. After half a decade of paid membership, I can honestly say we saved hundreds of dollars by buying elsewhere. Also reduced impulse control when buying too quickly.

With that said, I can see many taking advantage of this deal and it in fact saving money. Your proximity to stores, lack of time/ability to plan out and/or physical limits could all make this worthwhile. Having a baby could make the first few months worthwhile for buying via Pantry to preserve your sanity and energy!

At any rate, this $5.99 credit will make the Pantry order come with free shipping (normally is $5.99).
