Conclusion

If you purchase a lot of Delta flights this amounts to a huge discount. While these cards may be good for resale long term (keep in mind they may not be allowed to be listed on Raise for resale), I expect there might be a sudden increase in volume so make sure you can afford to float the money or you have a solid buyer before purchasing. Either way 20% back on gift cards for a major airline is not something you see everyday!

  1. I have never used RAISE and I was not aware of what it was. But to be clear I can buy those Delta Gift Cards that others are selling for 8% less than the value and then use the full value of the card on the Delta Website to purchase flights? I spend 10’s of thousands with Delta every year and this year has been no different. An 8% savings would be a big number. Is RAISE legit? Am I missing something?

    • Not missing anything. Raise is very legit and guarantees the cards up to 12 months when buying cards from others. As long as you only buy when you plan to use fairly quickly you should have no problems.

  2. I wouldn’t buy them to resell. 🙂

I’m actually not sure of the logistics while they are firsthand cards (technically). I would think private buyers will try to flip them back on Raise via some degree of bacon. It’ll be much better to advise for personal use.

    • Thanks Shirley! I added a little blurb about Raise maybe not allowing them to be resold. I agree this probably isn’t the best deal for resale but for Delta people this is a pretty great offer.
