MtM Vegas – Resort Fees Increase & Inside Resorts World
This week we have so much to talk about including more resort fee increases for Vegas and a look inside Resorts World. Before we dive in don’t forget to subscribe to the Miles to Memories YouTube channel to see every episode plus our Vegas reviews, guides and tours!
This Week’s MtM Vegas
This week Vegas had a crazy windstorm that produced some very interesting videos. We also learned that Covid restrictions are being loosened with a calendar of further loosening to come through May. Good news all around.
We also discuss the fire that happened at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and how Caesars Entertainment is once again raising resort fees at some of their properties. Are they tone deaf? Plus Fontainebleau Las Vegas has sold (will it still be a Marriott) and Resorts World Las Vegas (Hilton, Conrad) has a rumored opening date. Virgin Hotels (Hilton Curio) also announced their opening date. So much to discuss! Don’t forget to like the video and leave a comment so we can discuss!
Bottom Line
It is exciting to get some dates and looks at some of the new projects coming to Las Vegas in 2021. Hilton is definitely making a splash with Virgin Hotels and Resorts World! It’s also nice to see a Covid roadmap that hopefully will lead us to a busier and safer Summer. What do you think?

RAISING resort fees? Are they nuts? This combined with cutting back on booze and the prevalence of 6:5 blackjack (which is everywhere now but still)… I don’t know why anyone would stay at a Caesar’s property.
It really boggles the mind why they would do this. I guess they figure their overall rates are low enough people won’t care. Bad PR if nothing else.
+1.
They should be killing off resort fees. Raising them is madness. I used to stay at the Paris specifically because they didn’t charge resort fees. Now it’s just not worth it. I believe resort fees are inherently dishonest anyway. Las Vegas doesn’t offer much value any more for normal people and moves like jacking up resort fees when they’re anxiously trying to attract more people is tone deaf at best. Policies like that are why I don’t visit the city as much as previously. Maybe MTM could do a post or two comparing value and comps for Las Vegas and some other places in Nevada.
if you have caesars diamond aren’t resort fees eliminated?
