Save Up to $10 When You Shop Small with New Amex Offer

American Express launched a new Amex Offer today to encourage cardholders to shop at small businesses. Those who find the offer in their accounts can save up to $10 on two purchases. Let’s see how this offer works.

The Offer

Get a $5 statement credit by using your enrolled eligible Card to make a single purchase of $10 or more directly at any business on the Shop Small Map (or Online Directory) in the US or US territories by 8/22/2021. Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10 back) per Card Member.

Key Terms

  • Offer expires 8/22/2021.
  • Limit of 2 statement credits (total of $10 back) per Card Member.
  • Offer valid for eligible purchases made at a business location on the Shop Small Map, located here, or the Online Directory, located here, with an enrolled Card

Conclusion

Log into your account online or open up the Amex app and scroll down to the “Amex Offers” section to see if you are eligible. Add the offer to your card now and then find small businesses where you can make two small purchases of $10 or more.

These Shop Small offers have been much better in the past, but you can still save $10 if targeted. Plus you can support some of the small businesses around you.

  1. It’s in my EDP offers list, but I don’t understand how it works. There is no option to “Add to Card,” just a list of businesses. I guess you just use your Amex card at two of those businesses?
