How to Save on a Disney Plus Subscription
Today is the long awaited launch date for Disney Plus, the entertainment giant’s foray into digital streaming. With a solid back catalog of content (Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Nat Geo, Fox) and tons of really promising looking originals, I think Disney+ will be a winner. If you haven’t signed up and are feeling a little FOMO, here are a few tips on how to save on a Disney Plus subscription.
Disney Plus Free Trial Offer
Disney Plus comes with a 7 day free trial when signing up. Anyone who signs up for Disney’s streaming service should receive the trial membership. At the time of this writing I haven’t seen any longer trial periods offered, although keep a look out since that could change at any time.
Disney Plus Pricing
Disney+ has a fairly simple pricing structure and one that is quite attractive compared to the competition. Disney Plus is priced as follows:
- Disney+ Monthly Subscription Price: $6.99
- Disney+ Annual Subscription Price: $70
Keep reading below for even more ways to save, but as you can see Disney+ is priced very reasonably without any discounts. At just under $7 per month or even less on an annual plan, Disney+ represents a pretty amazing value considering the depth of Disney’s catalog.
Bundle Disney Plus with ESPN & Hulu
One of the best ways to save on Disney Plus is by bundling! At launch Disney is offering a bundle of Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu (ad supported version) for only $12.99 per month. That is a great discount over the separate costs of the services and still amounts to less than the monthly cost of Netflix for most.
Disney Plus Shopping Portal Cashback
One of our favorite ways to save on purchases at Miles to Memories is by using shopping portals. While not all portals have added Disney+, if you are signing up you can get a nice kickback on your subscription.
Rakuten (formerly Ebates) is offering the following Disney Plus shopping portal cashback on launch day:
- Disney+ Annual Subscription Cashback: $10 or 1,000 Membership Rewards points
- Disney+ Monthly Subscription Cashback : $5 or 500 Membership Rewards points
- ESPN+/Hulu/Disney+ Bundle Cashback : $7.50 or 750 Membership Rewards points
Top Cashback also has Disney+ listed with slightly lower rates and I am sure most of the portals will add the service in the coming days. Either way, make sure to use a shopping portal to earn an additional rebate on your Disney Plus subscription no matter which option you try.
Some Verizon Customers Get A Free Year
Verizon Unlimited subscribers and those who switch to their FIOS home internet service may be eligible for one year of Disney+. This is a great deal if you are already with Verizon and have one of their unlimited plans. You can find the full details here.
Save on a Disney Plus Subscription – Bottom Line
While the D23 Disney+ discounted membership offering was the best deal we have seen to date, you can still get a Disney Plus free trial plus earn cashback when choosing your subscription. Choosing an annual plan or bundling Disney+ with ESPN+ and Hulu can save you even more as well.

I signed up for 3 years via D23 before Verizon offered a year for free. Anyone have any ideas on how to postpone my purchased 3 years?
