Airline Shopping Portal Bonuses, Earn Up to 2500 Extra Miles
Alaska, Delta and American Airlines have new shopping portal bonuses that can earn you extra miles for your purchases. One is the usual bonus that we see for meeting a certain spending threshold, while two others are bonuses for installing a shopping portal button on your browser. Let’s see the details.
Alaska Mileage Plan Shopping
During the “March 2021 Button Install Bonus” campaign, which runs from 3/8/2021 through 3/12/2021 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members can earn a one-time bonus of 1,000 Mileage Plan bonus miles when they successfully install the Mileage Plan Shopping button (browser requirements detailed on button page) and use the button to spend $25 or more in qualifying purchases during the Bonus Period.
To qualify, members must also keep the button installed for a minimum of 30 days after the end of the Bonus Period and must not have installed the button previously before the Bonus Period.
The Bonus Miles are in addition to the standard Mileage Plan miles earned from shopping online through the Mileage Plan TM Shopping mall.
Delta SkyMiles Shopping
During the “March 2021 Button Install Bonus” campaign, which runs from 3/8/2021 through 3/12/2021 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members can receive a one-time bonus of 500 bonus miles when they successfully install the SkyMiles® Shopping button (browser requirements detailed on button page) and use the button to spend $25 or more in qualifying purchases during the Bonus Period.
To qualify, members must also keep the button installed for a minimum of 30 days after the end of the Bonus Period and must not have installed the button previously before the Bonus Period.
The bonus miles are in addition to the standard miles earned from shopping online through the SkyMiles® Shopping mall.
American Airlines AAdvantage eShopping
During the “Spring Cleaning Bonus” offer, which runs from 3/8/21 through 3/16/21 at 11:59:59 pm ET, members can earn a one-time bonus of up to 1,000 AAdvantage® miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard AAdvantage® miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall. This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period using one of the following tiers:
- Tier 1 bonus: 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100; or
- Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of $300 or more.
Conclusion
If you usually shop through airline shopping portals to earn miles, then these offers makes it even more profitable. For the American Airlines offer, you need to spend at least $300 to get an extra 1,000 miles. For the other two bonuses, you need to install the shopping portal button in your browser and spend $25 or more to get the respective bonus miles.
You should still compare the miles you earn for your purchases with cashback or rewards that you can earn from other shopping portals.
