Skip CLEAR Lines for $99 More

CLEAR Plus has added an extra service that will cost even more, and let you skip the CLEAR Plus line.

CLEAR Plus is a service that now costs $209 and get you past long lines at airports. And now they are offering to get past CLEAR lines if you pay at least an extra $99.

The new add-on is called CLEAR Concierge and offers two tiers. They both provide you with an Ambassador that will meet you when you arrive and bring you through the CLEAR+ Lane. With the more expensive service they also help with your carry-ons and guide you to your gate or lounge.

Concierge Express, which costs an extra $99, gets you:

  • Expedited CLEAR+ experience
  • Help with bags from curb to bag check

Concierge Gate Service, which costs an extra $179, gets you:

  • Expedited CLEAR+ experience
  • Help with bags from curb to bag check
  • Guide to your gate or lounge
  • Assist with carry-on bags beyond security

The service is currently available at 14 major U.S. airports, with Atlanta International Airport being added soon. You can find more details here.

Conclusion

At $209 per year, CLEAR is already an expensive service. But thankfully that fee is covered by select American Express credit cards. Now they’re trying to sell an extra service for an additional $99 or $179, which doesn’t get you much in my opinion.

  1. IF…they can get your curbside bags checking in at the counter, skipping those lines then the $99 might be worth it.
