Need to Know
Here are some facts about the cards you should know:
- Southwest points are often worth 1.4 cents each towards airfare. This increased offer is like getting an extra $140 in value.
- Points earned from these offers DO COUNT towards the Southwest Companion Pass.
- These cards are known to be subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule.
Eligibility
These products are not available to either:
- (i) current Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapids Rewards® Credit Card, or
- (ii) previous Cardmembers of any Southwest Rapid Rewards Credit Card who received a new Cardmember bonus within the last 24 months. This does not apply to Cardmembers of the Southwest Rapid Rewards Business Card and Employee Credit Card products.
Conclusion
These are pretty good offers on all three cards and are especially useful to get the Southwest Companion Pass. The timing is not that great, but it can still get you about a year and a half to bring along a free companion. As a cardholder you also get 10,000 qualifying points towards the new increased requirement of 135,000 points.
