Spectrum Internet Customers Can Get Amazon Prime for Free
Eligible Spectrum Internet customers can now get an Amazon Prime membership at no additional cost.
Eligibility is based primarily on the customer’s serviceable address. Spectrum says households that currently qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, its lower-cost Internet option with speeds up to 50 Mbps, are also eligible for the included Prime membership. The benefit is available to both new and existing Spectrum Internet customers.
Existing Amazon Prime members can also qualify. After activating the benefit through Spectrum, customers can transition their current Prime membership so that it is covered by Spectrum instead of continuing to pay separately.
To activate the benefit, eligible customers need to log in through Spectrum.net/Prime, select “Get Started,” and then sign in to an existing Amazon account or create a new one. Amazon then validates eligibility and activates the membership.
Customers who currently receive Prime through another third party may need to cancel that membership first before activating the Spectrum-provided version. Spectrum notes that customers can also contact Amazon to request an immediate cancellation rather than waiting for the existing billing period to end.
