Spending Bonus for Bank of America Amtrak Card

Bank of America is targeting some Amtrak cardholders with a spending bonus for up to 4,000 extra points. The offer was sent out by email and you must have received one directly to qualify. Email subject is “<Name>, register to earn 5X points this holiday season on qualifying purchases. I haven’t used the card much this year.” Let’s check out the details.

The Offer

From November 15 through December 28, 2021, Amtrak Guest Rewards® World Mastercard® cardholders can earn points faster—much faster.

Register now to earn 5 points for every $1 spent (up to 4,000 points), from holiday shopping to everyday items like gas, groceries and restaurants.

Conclusion

Amtrak points are quite valuable, normally over two cents each. So this spending offer gets you an extra 10% or 11% cash back on purchases up to $800 through December 28.

However the offer is targeted and you must have received an email in order to qualify.
