Highest Ever Bonus Returns: Get 35K on the Personal SPG Amex Card
The highest ever bonus for 35,000 Starpoints for the Amex SPG card has returned. This is a great bonus, similar to the one offered on the business version, but it is targeted.
The Offer
Earn 25,000 bonus Starpoints® after you use your new Card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months and an extra 10,000 bonus Starpoints after you make an additional $2,000 in purchases within the first 6 months. Offer ends 04/05/2017.
Check Promotion Page to see if You Are Targeted (you need to use your SPG number)
Need to Know
- $95 annual fee is waived the first year.
- Earn 2X Starpoints at SPG, Marriott & Ritz Carlton properties.
- Get 5 nights and 2 stays towards elite status.
- No foreign transaction fees.
Analysis
This offer matches the best we have ever seen on this card, and it’s the exact same offer we saw earlier this year. Despite the spend, which totals $5,000, this card is definitely worth getting, if you have never had it before, given the overall value of Starpoints and the likelihood (but not guarantee) that SPG cards will disappear in 2018.
There’s also a similar but public offer for the SPG Business card. If you had to pick one, I would go for the business version. Yes, you will have a higher spend requirement, but in return you get Sheraton lounge access plus better internet. Plus it is a business card, so it will not count towards 5/24, if that’s an issue.
Conclusion
If you are targeted for the offer and have been looking at this card, now may be the time to get the SPG Amex card. I suspect many of you have already had this card and thus aren’t eligible for the bonuses, but if you are take a look!
