Another Way to Save EVEN MORE MONEY!
Disclosure: The eBay links in this post pay me a small commission. Feel free to go through a cashback portal or directly to their site to buy coupons. Thanks for the support.
Everyone knows and accepts that coupons exist. The product that you are buying now most likely has some sort of coupon somewhere. This almost always means that you are paying a higher price than you need to be.
I personally don’t use too many coupons when grocery shopping. It takes too much time and effort for me. That is one of the reasons that I am such a huge fan of Walmart’s Savings Catcher. While using grocery coupons would mean I save even more money, I don’t feel the time invested produces enough of a return. (For me.)
Today I do want to tell you about a great way to look for non-grocery coupons. The first way as you may know is to search Google for coupon codes. That is a pretty well known method and not what I am talking about. Instead there is another way.
Often times people are targeted with discounts or receive coupons through other means. You can search eBay for these coupons and use them for additional savings. I often see these types of coupons for office supply and home improvement stores.
A Couple of Great Examples
Staples currently has a couple of really good deals. Lets take a look.
Firstly they have the HP Business P231 23″ 1080P monitor for $77.99. A great price for that size monitor.
Also, they have the Amazon Fire TV for $84. Once again a good price.
Chop That Price
But what if you could do better? How about another $18 off of those prices?
A number of sellers on eBay are offering $25 off $75 coupons for about $7. Simply search eBay for $25 off $75. I don’t want to link to a specific product since the listing may disappear.
In the end you can get a 23″ monitor for $60 or a Fire TV which retails for $99, for $66! Also don’t forget that you still earn Staples Rewards, up to 6% cashback through portals and 5x Ultimate Rewards points if you use your Chase Ink (my mini-review) card.
Conclusion
While I did want to highlight these two great deals, this post is mostly trying to take a high level approach. Before making a big purchase it is always a good idea to see what coupons exist, because you never know when you could save even more money! This approach has saved me thousands of dollars over the years! Happy shopping!
