Status Match Marriott Elite Status To Hertz Elite Status

Status Match Marriott Elite Status To Hertz Elite Status

There is a pretty easy status match out there for Marriott elites.  As you could probably guess I am not a Marriott elite since I kicked them to the curb but this is useful for you out there that are sticking with them.  Hertz status can get you upgrades, speedy returns, and bonus points.

Details

Here are the details of the status matches:

  • Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador elite status matches to Hertz Presidents Circle which gets you:
    • Confirmed reservations at participating locations.
    • Designated President’s Circle parking stalls.
    • Confirmed one-car-class upgrade.
    • 50% bonus on Gold Plus Rewards points on all qualified car rentals.
  • Marriott Bonvoy Titanium elite status matches to Hertz Five Star Status which gets you:
    • Designated Five Star parking stalls.
    • One-car-class upgrade. (Subject to availability.)
    • 25% bonus on Gold Plus Rewards points on all qualified car rentals.

Conclusion

This is an easy win for Marriott elites and can snag you a nice car next time you need a rental.  I try to avoid renting a car at all costs but these types of perks may make me change my mind a little on that.

  1. Don’t you have to make the res directly thru Hertz to get the benefits? When I book Hertz elsewhere & add my Gold nimber I am never on the status board to avoid the lines/shuttle.

    • I have read that others have been able to do it with auto slash etc. but I don’t have any personal experience with that 🙁

      • I gave it a shot, nothing happens beside an error message saying I was already a Hertz President membe.
I was just worried system would take away my Hertz President status being I’m only a Marriot Platinum. I guess they only have a one-way partnership.

  2. Thanks, I just did that. Strange that I had to cut off 2 leading zeros on my Marriott # and add a zero on the Hertz #, however, I login to each of those websites without taking away or adding zeros. It said my upgrade was under review.
