Stayful $75 Credit for a Stay in the Next 30 Days

Update: It seems like they have now changed some of the rules for these credits. Some people are reporting the $50 credit must be used for a stay by 12/6 and others are saying credits can’t be used until you spend at least $75 out of pocket. This didn’t seem to be the case when this was originally posted, but it seems their policies have changed.

Hotel booking site Stayful is offering an incredible deal. As is usual with these types of things, I suspect it won’t last long so I will be brief. Here is how it works.

  • Sign-up and receive a $25 credit. You can sign-up directly or through someone’s referral link. Here is mine if you wish to use it. Once you are signed up you can refer your friends so they get the credit.
  • Once logged in, go to the credits screen and input the code SECRETSANTA and receive another $50 credit.

Note: Rooms can only be booked for up to 30 days out, so you would need to book a stay for January 6 or before to get the full $75 credit since the $50 credit expires on 12/6/15 as shown below.

Credit Terms

  • Credits may be redeemed on any “Make an Offer” purchase of $75 or more, excluding taxes and fees.
  • Credits expire at midnight Pacific Time on the date shown.

Analysis

I have never used Stayful but have heard of them. Their service basically allows you to make an offer on a boutique hotel and they will submit it. They will show you a suggested offer and you can alter it from there. With $75 in free credit (towards a $75 or more booking), I’m sure many of you will be able to do quite well, even if you only have 30 days or so.

Conclusion

This is a fantastic deal and it was good enough to get me to sign-up and I’ll now give Stayful a try. I don’t suspect this will last long, so go ahead and claim your credits since it only takes about 30 seconds and then you can search and make offers later. Happy saving!

  1. It looks that the $50 expires in 06/12 and can only be applied to stay that occurs before 06/12. I tried to book an stay in 10/12. Only $25 credit was applied to the stay. This post seems quite misleading.

    • It seems they have changed the rules on this promo. Others were not having this issue yesterday and I assure you this post was not meant to mislead. I am adding this new information to the post now.

  2. Signed up using your link. Thanks Shawn! Not sure if we’ll get to use it tho’. Staycation maybe. Or book a stay for a friend?

    • Heard back from Stayful about making a booking for someone else:

“Because these bookings are prepaid – you can book for someone else. Just be sure that the name on the reservation matches the ID of the person who will be checking in.”

  3. I already signed up earlier today, but what I didn’t understand is, if the $50 expire by 12/6, wouldn’t that mean you have to use it and have a booked stay before/by then? That’s confusing…
