Sterling Brunch Las Vegas Full Review & History
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas is a tradition that goes back a long time. A few years ago it took up shop in Bally’s BLT Steakhouse. By night this restaurant serves fine cuts of meat like any other steakhouse on the Vegas Strip, but on Sunday it is something completely different, Sterling Brunch.
Think of Sterling Brunch like a high-end Las Vegas buffet on steroids. From unlimited Champagne and Caviar to Prime Rib, Lobster Tails, King Crab Legs and Oysters, Sterling Brunch has some of the highest quality food you will find on a buffet anywhere. And it ain’t cheap.
Last year my wife and I decided to each use our $100 Diamond Celebration vouchers (earned from Founderscard) to enjoy Sterling Brunch. At the time the cost was $95 per person, but it has since increased to $105 per person. Now let’s take a tour and I’ll share my thoughts on whether it is worth it or not.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Review
To start, BLT Steakhouse is an attractive restaurant with dark but pleasant decor. The restaurant is famous for their bread poppers and we were served a healthy portion of them (I wonder why) along with champagne to start. The restaurant is dark, so I apologize if some of these pictures aren’t the best.
While the bread was delicious, I tried not to eat too much since I had a feast ahead of me. The champagne served is Perriet Jouet which I thought was tasty. It was a great way to start, but I was ready for some food.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Caviar, Sushi & Seafood
If you are a seafood lover, then this buffet is for you. In addition to the heavily advertised American Caviar (which I wasn’t a fan of) you can also fill yourself up with plenty of Sushi, Shrimp, Nigiri and Oysters to start.
All of the fish was very very fresh and high quality. I love Nigiri, but I tend to just eat the fish off of the top so I won’t fill up so much with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was a great way to start, but the highlight for most will be the unlimited King Crab Legs and Lobster Tails. Yes, you can eat as much lobster as you want.

My only small complaint about the King Crab Legs is that they weren’t cracked like you find at some buffets. I am not a huge fan of using crackers, so I mainly focused on the delicious broiled Lobster Tails. They were very very good and despite it being a buffet, they were in such high demand that they were coming out fresh every five minutes or so.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Meats
Now, if you don’t like seafood, then there is still plenty to eat at the Sterling Brunch Las Vegas. You want Filet Mignon? They got it. They also have fresh and delicious Prime Rib, Leg of Lamb and even Roasted Pork Belly. I’m getting full just thinking about it.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Sides
In addition to everything mentioned before, there are some traditional buffet dishes like vegetables and potatoes. I found the grilled asparagus to be a nice treat while the restaurant’s famous Truffle Mashed potatoes were fantastic as well. Sterling Brunch Las Vegas is also known for its Lobster Ravioli and while it wasn’t my favorite, it was still good. Some of these items are on the buffet while other “small bite” portioned items have to be ordered from your waiter.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Dessert
I am not the biggest dessert person and to be honest by the time we made it past all of the above, I wasn’t very hungry. With that said, as to be expected they had a nice variety of high-end desserts. I pretty much only ate the chocolate lollipops which were great. The desserts at Sterling Brunch Las Vegas are in line with what you would find from a high-end restaurant.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Is It Worth It?
Like I mentioned before, when we went the price was $95 per person but that has since increased $10 to $105 per person. Thankfully we were able to use our comp certificates, but using them still had a cost since we could have probably eaten two meals at more moderate restaurants for the same price.
If you look at TripAdvisor for reviews, you will find mostly positive feelings about this buffet. With that said, some people leave disappointed and I think that mostly has to do with the price. If you like the kind of food they serve and enjoy the champagne, then you should be able to get a decent value out of this buffet. Plus, going to Sterling Brunch is sort of an experience itself.
My wife and I made reservations (which are required) for around 12:30pm (they close at 2pm). This allowed us to skip breakfast so we were as hungry as we could be going in. During the course of our meal we each had a few glasses of champagne and were able to taste most of what was offered. This is the highest quality buffet food I have had, rivaled only by some five star boutique hotel breakfasts.
Sterling Brunch Las Vegas – Bottom Line
If you are coming to Las Vegas, love champagne and seafood, are looking for a unique experience and don’t mind spending over $100 per person then the Sterling Brunch is for you. My wife and I truly enjoyed the experience and felt we got a decent value out of eating there.

Is there gratuity built into the $105 price or are you expected to tip on top of that? How about tax? Just looking for the full cost out the door.
I have been to this buffet probably a dozen times over the last 10 years. I love the atmosphere. I do not like seafood, so I am always questioning “value”. However the champagne is my favorite and I always have a good amount. The breakfast is a little fancier than most places and the desserts are very good. I usually use my TR certificate and enjoy myself (sometimes I can get my husband to go to Vegas) and we both enjoy it there.
Nice review. I have to admit that I raised an eyebrow when I saw unlimited caviar, but when you explained the type, it made a lot more sense. Rather a shame, though. I’ve eaten at a fair number of supposedly top end to actually top end buffets in Las Vegas, and this brunch seems a cut above the norm, although the only truly disappointing buffet in Vegas was the Bacchanal at Caesars Palace. The rest have been quite good overall, if a little overpriced at times.
Buffets are pretty overpriced here these days. I’ve found Bacchanal to be very good but it largely depends on day of the week and time at many of these places.
Looks fabulous. I love lobster and other shellfish. Unfortunately my wife isn’t a fan so this would be a waste. We tend to use our TR celebration dinner $$ at Gordon Ramsay Steak or the new Hell’s Kitchen. Otherwise, I get the free or 2-for-1 dinner buffet rewards from MyVegas slots on FB to use at Aria, Bellagio or other mlife resorts. Going tomorrow, in fact.

At first I thought wow, all you can eat lobster! But then I thought I could go buy at least 9 lobsters and eat them at home for the same price

Definitely not worth it if you’re hungover. I’m not sure the comparison to cooking at home is good either since that is the case with almost anything, but this definitely isn’t a value decision.
Look crappy. That Sushi was not very very fresh. It was sitting on a buffet. Have you had fresh sushi? Also steaks sitting on a buffet at Never that great. I’d rather spend $100 at a high end steakhouse. That would cover a massive strip. And appetizer and a glass of wine. And I can relax and not over eat
The food was all very fresh and being made in front of guests. I will say the lighting wasn’t ideal, especially in the dining room which lead to some lackluster pics. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Definitely of a higher quality than you normally find on a buffet.
Buffets always sound good, then I go and I can’t eat even a fraction of all the offerings so it ends up being a waste of money. Learned that the hard way at the wicked spoon. Congrats though to those who can eat their money’s worth.
Sterling Brunch is definitely an experience, but unless you’re a BIG caviar or lobster fan, it hard to justify the hefty price tag – even if it’s comped. As much as love both items, I’m just as content feasting at Bacchanal Buffet for half the price. Having the waiter bring you gigantic steamed Alaskan King Crab legs (a Diamond perk) is an added bonus. Whichever you choose, be sure to bring your appetite.
Definitely bring your appetite! I agree it’s not for everyone and there probably are better values elsewhere, but it was fun!
