There is a new promo starting today at Stop & Shop that will snag you 8X fuel points.  The promo will run until 9/27/2018.

Details

Earn 8X fuel points when you purchase any of the following gift cards while using your Stop & Shop rewards card:

  • Best Buy
  • Spa Finder

It doesn’t seem like there is a minimum or maximum purchase listed but you may want to check the signs in your store for more details.  If you do a lot of purchases at any of the listed places you can rack up some free gas pretty easily.

Use a card that earns a bonus at grocery stores to get even bigger discounts.  The American Express Blue Cash Preferred which earns 6% at grocery stores is a good choice.

Conclusion

This is a pretty good deal, especially for Best Buy. Earning 8X fuel points is like getting a 10-15% discount on the gift card on top of whatever credit card points you earn.
