There is a promo currently running at Stop & Shop that will snag you 8X fuel points.  The promo is currently running and goes until 4/26/18.

Details

Earn 8X fuel points when you purchase any of the following gift cards while using your Stop & Shop rewards card:

  • eBay
  • Bass Pro Shops
  • Red Robin

It doesn’t seem like there is a minimum or maximum purchase listed but you may want to check the signs in your store for more details.  If you do a lot of purchases at any of the listed places you can rack up some free gas pretty easily.

Use a card that earns a bonus at grocery stores to get even bigger discounts.  The American Express Blue Cash Preferred which earns 6% at grocery stores is a good choice or you could use the Chase Freedom card to earn 5x Ultimate Rewards this quarter.

Conclusion

This is a pretty good deal, especially for eBay.  It may be worth picking up some gift cards for the next 20% off eBay deal that comes around.  Earning 8X fuel points is like getting a 10-15% discount on the gift card on top of whatever credit card points you earn.
