Gas Rewards
These gas rewards used to be better, but these deals could still get you cheap gas. Every 100 points are worth $0.10 off per gallon on your fill up of up to 20 gallons in some places. If you buy a $100 eBay gift card for example you will receive 400 points. That would be $0.40 off per gallon. Multiply that by how many gallons you can pump in one fill up, to calculate your profits. With 20 gallons that’s $8 off or an 8% discount.
If you buy more than one gift card, you’ll obviously get more points but you can only redeem up to 1500 points per transaction in some areas, which is $1.50 off per gallon. Gas Rewards points are valid for 30 days from the day they are earned. Points can be reedemed at Stop & Shop gas stations and at participating Shell locations.
Conclusion
This is a good deal for people who drive a lot since it get’s you cheap gas if your store carries some of the more valuable gift cards. It’s even better if your store has the $15 savings offer which gets you 15% off basically if you do your grocery shopping at these supermarkets.
Don’t forget to use a card tha tearns you the most points at supermarkets. This quarter you can also use your Freedom or Discover cards to earn 5X.
