Synchrony Mastercard Spending Offer

With Toys ‘R Us is going out of business, the Toys ‘R Us credit card issued by Synchrony was converted to a plain Synchrony Mastercard. The card earns a straight 2% cash back product with no annual fee. (Full details here.) While 2% back isn’t bad, they are also continuing to offer spending bonuses that make the card worthwhile for some purchases.

The other day I received this offer via email:

I don’t believe this offer is targeted and do believe that all Toys ‘R Us cardholders received it. There’s no enrollment or signup needed. Make sure to check your email!

Analysis

This a nice offer and pretty easy to do. You just need to use the card five times from October 29th to November 30th, and you will get a $20 statement credit. That’s on top of the 2% you earn on all your purchases.
